FALL WOODLAND PATH
FALL WOODLAND PATH 2018 color pencil, brush tip markers, gouache on paper by artist Eva Maria Jones. Framed original, image size 22"x 17"and unframed limited edition of 275 giclee prints will be available on this website's PATHWAYS GALLERY.
FALL WOODLAND PATH depicts an autumn tree landscape art complete with a flowered lined path. The use of light contrasting against the darkness draws out an emotional response to this art, much like Thomas Kinkade's paintings. This American artist was called the painter of light, something that Eva Maria Jones is striving to be. The technique used in this drawing was the use of color pencil laid over ink with gouache being added at the end of the process. Stippling, hash marks and dots are the strokes that predominate in the application of the medium. One can picture being on a tree lined trail on a cool autumn day in this expressionistic art.

"Autumn Leaves. Golden, crisp leaves falling softly from almost bare trees, Lifting and falling in a hushed gentle breeze.
Slowly dropping to the soft cushioned ground, Whispering and rustling a soothing sound.
Coppers, golds, and rusted tones, Mother Nature's way of letting go.
They fall and gather one by one, Autumn is here, summer is gone...." by Edel T Copeland
